Drain valve

A drain valve is mainly a diversion valve that automatically removes condensed water and air from steam pipelines or steam equipment, and prevents steam from passing through, while effectively preventing steam leakage. A drain valve is also known as a trap or automatic drain. Condensed water and air in steam are harmful substances that affect heat exchange and pipeline capacity.     Thermal Power Drain Valve

    The working principle of a thermal power drain valve is that when air and condensed water enter the drain valve, the valve disc is pushed away from the valve seat under the action of the working pressure difference, quickly eliminating the air and condensed water. Thermodynamic drain valves are mainly based on the principle of phase change, relying on the different thermodynamic principles of the flow rate and volume changes of steam and condensed water passing through, to generate different pressure differences above and below the valve plate, and drive the valve plate to open and close the valve. Due to the fact that the working power of the thermal power drain valve comes from steam, steam waste is relatively large. Simple structure, shock resistant, maximum back of 50%, noisy, frequent valve operation, short service life.     Thermal Static Drain Valve

    The working principle of a thermal static drain valve is mainly to control the opening and closing of the drain valve by utilizing the temperature difference between steam and condensate. This type of drain valve typically includes a temperature sensitive element, such as a bellows, filled with a liquid that is prone to evaporation. When the temperature of the condensate is high, the saturation pressure of the liquid increases, causing the bellows to elongate axially, thereby closing the valve core and preventing steam leakage. When the temperature of the condensate drops, the saturation pressure of the liquid decreases, the bellows contracts, the valve hole is opened, and the condensate is discharged. This mechanism enables the drain valve to automatically adjust the discharge based on the temperature of the condensate, effectively preventing steam leakage while discharging non condensable gases such as condensate and air.     Bimetallic sheet drain valve

    The working principle of the bimetallic strip drain valve is based on the bimetallic strip temperature sensing element. This type of valve contains a bimetallic sensing element. When the steam temperature changes, the bimetallic element will deform due to heat, thereby pushing the valve core to open and close the valve. Specifically, as the steam temperature increases, the bimetallic strip will bend in one direction, and as the temperature decreases, it will return to its original state in another direction. This deformation drives the valve core switch, controls the discharge of condensed water, air, and other non condensable gases, and prevents steam leakage.     Inverted bucket drain valve

    The inverted bucket type steam trap operates based on the density difference between condensed water and steam. Its internal structure is connected to the inverted bucket by a lever system, overcoming the steam pressure switch. The inverted bucket type steam trap has a liquid level sensitive component inside, with the opening of the inverted bucket facing downwards. When the device is just started, air and low-temperature condensed water appear in the pipeline. At this time, the drain valve is fully open, and the air and low-temperature condensed water are quickly discharged outside the valve. The temperature of the device quickly rises. When steam enters the inverted bucket, it generates upward buoyancy, and the connecting lever of the inverted bucket drives the valve core to close the valve. There is a small hole on the inverted bucket that can automatically exhaust air. When a part of the steam is discharged from the small hole and another part of the steam produces condensed water, the inverted bucket loses buoyancy and sinks downwards. The connecting lever of the inverted bucket drives the valve core to open the valve. When the steam enters the inverted bucket again, the valve closes again, and the cycle works without interruption for drainage.

    Free floating ball drain valve

    The working principle of a free floating ball trap is based on its internal structure and working mechanism. Its main component is a finely ground stainless steel hollow float ball, which serves as both a float and an opening and closing component without any vulnerable parts, thus having a long service life. When the equipment starts working, the air in the pipeline is discharged through the Y series automatic air exhaust device. Low temperature condensed water enters the drain valve, the liquid level of condensed water rises, the float rises, the valve opens, and the condensed water is quickly discharged. The temperature sensing liquid of the Y series automatic air exhaust device expands, and the automatic air exhaust device closes.     Leveraged floating ball drain valve

    The working principle of the lever floating ball drain valve is based on the linkage mechanism between the floating ball and the lever. When steam and hot condensate enter the valve chamber, the float floats up and down with the change of liquid position in the valve chamber, driving the lever to open or close the valve seat hole.
