The pressure of the gate plate against the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate plate or floating valve seat. If it is a double gate flat gate valve, the expansion mechanism between the two gate plates can supplement this clamping force. According to the gate structure, flat gate valves can also be divided into flat gate valves with guide holes and flat gate valves without guide holes. Balance plate valves with guide holes are used for the main pipelines transporting oil and natural gas. For pipelines without sweepers, flat gate valves without guide holes can be used. The flow channel of the flat gate valve body can be divided into full bore form, which has the advantages of low pressure loss; The advantage of the reduced diameter Venturi structure gate valve is that it can reduce the size of the valve disc and seat, decrease the weight of the gate valve, and reduce the opening and closing force or torque for gate valves of the same specification.
