Special purpose globe valves refer to specialized globe valves designed and manufactured with special purposes or materials to adapt to special working conditions, such as globe check valves, marine high-pressure external thread bronze globe valves, oxygen specific globe valves, ammonia specific globe valves, Y-shaped globe valves, Japanese standard marine angle globe check valves (anti wave valves), etc. The working principle of special purpose globe valves generally belongs to the forced sealing type valve. When the valve is closed, pressure needs to be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface of the valve seat and the sealing surface of the valve disc to seal without leakage. When the medium enters the valve from below the valve disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the frictional force between the valve stem and the packing, as well as the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force required to close the valve is greater than the force required to open it, so the diameter of the valve stem must be larger than that of a regular valve, otherwise the valve stem will bend due to failure.
