The working principle of forged steel globe valve is based on its structural characteristics. When the medium enters the valve from below the valve disc, the operating force needs to overcome the frictional force between the valve stem and packing, as well as the thrust generated by the medium pressure. Therefore, the force required to close the valve is greater than that required to open it. To ensure sealing, when the globe valve is in the fully open position, the opening height of the valve disc is usually 25% to 30% of the nominal diameter.
