On February 14, 2000, Xi'an Xinmeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. was established, with the development, manufacturing, and sales of semiconductor materials and semiconductor equipment as its main business.

On September 19, 2002, the first wholly-owned subsidiary, Xi'an Longi Silicon Technology Co., Ltd., was established.

In April 2004, the wholly-owned subsidiary Xi'an Simei Monocrystalline Silicon Co., Ltd. was established.

In December 2005, the company established an annual production capacity of 30 tons of device grade monocrystalline silicon.

In December 2006, Ningxia Longi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established, dedicated to the research and manufacturing of monocrystalline silicon rods. It is an important research and manufacturing base for Xi'an Longi.

In December 2007, the company name was changed to Xi'an Longi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 25 million yuan.

In July 2008, the company name was changed to Xi'an Longi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. Established Xi'an Tongxin Semiconductor Accessories Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in the research and production of chemical materials required for solar semiconductor production.

In November 2009, Yinchuan Longji Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established. The company's main product is 8-inch monocrystalline silicon, which is the main material for solar crystalline silicon cells. The first phase of Xi'an Longi 350MW monocrystalline silicon wafer project has been completed.

On September 27, 2010, Wuxi Longji Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary, was established, mainly engaged in the slicing and processing of monocrystalline silicon wafers for solar photovoltaic power generation.

In June 2011, the company's R&D center was established.

On April 11, 2012, the company was officially listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

In October 2012, Xi'an Longi completed its expansion and its silicon wafer production capacity exceeded 1GW.

In December 2012, the second phase of the Longi project in Ningxia was completed, with a single crystal silicon rod production capacity of 8000 tons.

In October 2013, the company's annual shipment of silicon wafers exceeded 1GW.

On May 8, 2014, the holding subsidiary Xi'an Longi Clean Energy Company was officially established, marking the company's entry into photovoltaic power plant construction and EPC business.

On October 12, 2014, Longi Corporation acquired 85% equity of Zhejiang Leye Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. The company's business expanded into the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of solar cells and modules.

In December 2014, the Wuxi Longi Phase II project was completed, with a single crystal silicon wafer production capacity of 3GW.

On November 24, 2015, Leye Photovoltaic Energy Co., Ltd. was registered and established, and the company began to fully expand its distributed photovoltaic business.

On April 19, 2016, Kuching Longi was officially established as our company's first overseas monocrystalline silicon wafer production base.

On November 15, 2016, the employer brand of Longi Corporation was officially launched, with "Bright Industry, Common Cause" as the employee value proposition to help the group's talent development and strategic goals be achieved.

On September 13, 2016, Longi Group's Longi New Energy Division Thailand subsidiary was established.

In December 2018, Li Zhenguo, President of Longi Corporation, unveiled the "Solar for Solar" concept at the 24th United Nations Climate Change Conference, which drives the manufacturing of photovoltaic products through photovoltaic power generation, attracting global attention.

In May 2019, the front power of the Longi 72 double-sided half panel module exceeded 450W, breaking the world record.

In January 2020, LONGi became the designated photovoltaic solution provider for the China Pavilion at the 2020 Dubai World Expo.

The first prefabricated BIPV product, "Longding," was launched in July 2020.

In November 2020, Longi joined the RE100, EV100, EP100 initiatives of climate organizations, as well as the "Science Carbon Target" initiative.
